About This Product
Overview
This brick mural features the Siamese cat and belongs to the Cat Mural series. It works as home decor or an exotic-style art piece, and suits collectors who favour Eastern breeds.
Design
The upper body is shown front-on, with the dark seal points on the face and ears that define the breed, set against a pale cream body. The ears are large and pointed, and the expression is alert. The cat is presented as a relief panel that rises out of the frame, with fur built in clearly defined planes.
Highlights
The contrast between light and dark blocks is strong and precisely captures the Siamese colour points. The placement of the features reproduces the breed's fine-boned, elegant face, giving the piece a clean, sharp silhouette.
Story
The Siamese comes from ancient Siam, present-day Thailand, where it was once kept in royal palaces. Highly intelligent and famously vocal, it actively seeks out its owner — earning the nickname the chatterbox of the cat world.
Details
A folding stand on the back allows both desk display and wall hanging. The frame follows the series standard, making it easy to arrange several murals together. Slender pieces form the whiskers for realistic detail.
