About This Product
Overview
This brick mural features an orange tabby and belongs to the Cat Mural series. It works as home decor or a warm-toned art piece, and suits anyone who loves ginger cats.
Design
The upper body is shown front-on. The cat is round and full-bodied, with warm orange and bright yellow pieces alternating to recreate the tabby pattern. Large round eyes give it an innocent look, and the facial lines are soft and appealing. Built as a relief panel, the cat stands fully clear of the frame's backboard.
Highlights
Light and dark orange pieces are interleaved to reproduce natural tabby striping. Many curved pieces build the round, sturdy body, giving the piece its charm. The black frame makes the warm-toned cat stand out strongly.
Story
Orange is not a breed but a coat colour found across many domestic cats. The internet joke that nine out of ten ginger cats are overweight is well known. Ginger cats tend to be easy-going and food-motivated, and their endearing clumsiness has made them a favourite.
Details
A folding stand is fitted on the back for desk display or wall hanging. Frames across the series share one size, so several can be shown side by side. Fine pieces form the whiskers, giving strong detail at close range.
