About This Product
Overview
This model recreates the classic mousetrap: a detailed desktop object that is also an interactive mechanical toy. A rubber-band drivetrain snaps the trap shut to mimic the real action, making it genuinely fun to handle. Suited to desktop display and creative gifting.
Design
The trap is faithfully modelled: a cream wood-effect base with dark brown trim reproduces the old wooden mousetrap, complete with grey mechanical parts and a red trigger catch. Beside it sits a cartoon mouse — pink ears, long tail, delicate claws — facing the yellow cheese bait. The scene tells its own story. The palette is soft and realistic, matching the everyday object.
Highlights
The rubber-band-driven spring mechanism is the core feature: once triggered, the bar snaps shut quickly, reproducing real mousetrap logic. The mouse and trap together form a scene full of comic drama, and the piece is as good to play with as to look at.
Story
The mousetrap is a long-standing tool with centuries of history. This set recreates a familiar household object through a humorous scene, turning the everyday into brick art.
Details
The base assembles solidly and sits flat. The rubber band that powers the trap can be replaced, so it can be triggered again and again. Rounded pieces form the mouse's ears and tail for a soft look. Moderate in size, it suits a desk or display cabinet.
